Why choose On Point over a chain clinic in LIC
Every chain PT in LIC says “personalized” and “one-on-one.” Watch what actually happens for an hour and you’ll usually see one licensed PT supervising two or three patients running through bands, with aides spotting form. Real time with the licensed PT is often 15 to 25 minutes of a 45-60 minute slot.
| On Point | Typical chain clinic | |
|---|---|---|
| Time with the licensed PT | 90 min, all of it | 15-25 min in a 45-60 min slot |
| Aides supervising exercises | None | Common |
| Therapist continuity | Same PT every visit | Often whoever’s on schedule |
| In-home option | Yes — anywhere in NYC | No |
| In-network | UHC, Aetna, BCBS | Varies |

Follow-ups (90 min each): hands-on manual therapy and dry needling where indicated, neuromuscular work (NMES, BFR), loaded strength training in the room with you, reassessment, home-program updates.
